Local Fonts
Local Fonts in Brainstorm ID Maker
Brainstorm ID Maker allows you to access and use fonts installed directly on your computer (in addition to those built in to ID Maker), providing greater flexibility and personalization in your ID card designs.
What Are Local Fonts?
Local fonts are typefaces that you have installed on your personal computer. Unlike web fonts, which are downloaded from the internet, local fonts reside on your device and can be used across various applications, including Brainstorm ID Maker.
How Does This Feature Work?
When using Brainstorm ID Maker in a supported web browser, the application can access the fonts installed on your computer. This enables you to apply your preferred typefaces to your ID card designs directly within the app, enhancing customization and consistency with your organization’s branding.
Granting Permission to Access Local Fonts
Your privacy and security are important to us. The first time you use this feature, your browser will prompt you to grant Brainstorm ID Maker permission to access your local fonts. Granting permission allows the application to display and utilize the fonts installed on your computer. If you choose not to grant permission, Brainstorm ID Maker will continue to function using the available web fonts.
Supported Browsers
Currently, the local fonts feature is supported in the following web browsers:
Please note that other browsers, such as Apple's Safari and Mozilla's Firefox, do not support this feature at this time.
